Is Warren Ward Refrigeration the Right Company For Me?
If you’re comparing air conditioning companies in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, here’s what sets us apart:
We’re local, not a national franchise. Warren Ward Refrigeration is a family-owned business with five branches across Newcastle, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook, and the Central Coast. Under Joshua Ward’s leadership, every branch operates to the same licensed standard — but with the local knowledge to match: dust and heat considerations in the Hunter Valley,, and the housing and industry mix specific to each town we service.
We handle the full range, not just one type of job. Split systems, ducted, multi-split, reverse cycle, evaporative, and commercial HVAC — residential and commercial, no job too big or too small. If you’re not sure what you need, we can help you work that out rather than just selling you what we happen to stock.
40+ years of experience, with the numbers to back it up. We’ve completed thousands of installations across the region, and our technicians are licensed and hold the ARCtick and NSW Fair Trading credentials required for refrigerant handling and electrical work.
We’re upfront about cost. Every service page includes real pricing ranges, not just “contact us for a quote” — you’ll see what to expect before you even call.
Who WWR suits best:
- Homeowners and businesses across Newcastle, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook, and the Central Coast wanting a local, family-owned company rather than a national call centre
- Anyone needing both installation and long-term servicing from the same provider — we’re not a one-and-done install company
- Commercial clients — offices, hospitality, retail, and industrial sites — needing a provider who understands the scale and compliance requirements involved
If your priority is the fastest, cheapest possible install with no ongoing relationship, we may not be the cheapest option on paper.
If you want a family-owned company that’s been solving these exact problems in this exact region for over 40 years and will still be here for your next service call, that’s who we are.
Don’t let another summer pass by with subpar cooling. Contact Warren Ward Refrigeration today on (02) 4954 4444 for a fast, reliable solution or claim your fast and FREE quote online.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need zoning to cool or heat specific rooms only?
Zoning isn’t always required, but it is the most efficient way to heat or cool selected rooms without conditioning the whole home.
If you only want certain areas to be comfortable at certain times (for example, cooling the living room during the day and warming bedrooms at night), a zoned ducted system gives you that flexibility.
This allows you to open or close individual zones so you’re not paying to condition rooms you aren’t using.
That said, zoning isn’t the only option. Split systems and multi-head units naturally cool or heat specific rooms because each indoor unit operates independently.
They’re ideal when you only need control over one or two areas, or when zoning an existing home isn’t practical.
Will you turn up on time and finish the job as promised?
Yes. Turning up when we say we will, and completing the job to the standard we promise, is one of the things our clients value most about working with us.
With five branches, 35+ service vehicles, and more than 40 years of continuous family ownership, reliability isn’t just a selling point — it’s how we’ve built our reputation. When we book a job, we commit to it.
You’ll know exactly when we’re arriving, what we’re doing, and how long it will take.
If anything unexpected comes up, we communicate clearly and work with you to keep everything on track. That’s the benefit of choosing a local, family-owned team that takes pride in every job.
Can AC improve indoor air quality?
Yes. The right air conditioning system can significantly improve your indoor air quality, especially when it’s properly maintained and fitted with modern filtration.
While ACs are primarily designed for temperature control, today’s units do far more than cool or heat your home.
A well-selected and well-maintained system can:
- Filter out dust, pollen, and airborne particles
- Reduce humidity, which helps prevent mould and mildew
- Limit the spread of odours and stale air
- Control indoor moisture levels
